Dandelion Wish List

You know, all we want for the Solstice is our two front teeth...that & a few things to make our communitea really blossom...stuff that might be considered "extra," but would be really rad for all of us to enjoy. Now, we know how tight money is, especially this time of year, but if you just happen to have loads of it and are just looking for positive ways to spend it, well, we figure, why not just put it out there and see what happens?

Share Us. Introduce a new friend to our happy little cafe with a Gift Certificate. A little goes a long way, friend, and our pocket book would love ya!

Educate Us. Here's a list of books that we would love to peruse in our not-so-abundant spare time. Purchase used when available & heck, take some time to read it yourself before delivery. When we're done, we'll recirculate it back into the community.

Entertain Us. The tribe in the kitchen would be so thrilled with this iPod player. Happy Tribe = Happy Food! Thanks mom & dad for fulling this wish!

Rock Us. Wouldn't it be cool to have music in every room of the cafe? Well, a big hug goes out to Mr Juan Mercado who has made our wish come true!!!

Crisp Us. This thing is so cool, it actually crisps! It would save us some space & allow us to have more ingredients in the fridge. A gal can dream of pretty functional things, eh?

Potty With Us. I've had this crazy idea since before we opened to have a "Potty Line" playing in our restrooms. We would have a dedicated phone number where anyone could leave a message reciting poetry, singing a song, giving us green living tips, whatever, and then we would play it in the bathroom. We just need a modest iPod and docking station with speakers to make it happen!

Offset Us. Help us offset our energy usage by stopping mountaintop removal. Despite our efforts to use CFL, LED bulbs, energy efficient appliances and solar powered lights, we still consume over 28 tons of carbon a year. Yikes! It's recommended that a $20 donation per ton would make a difference. (ps there's a lot of info out there about becoming carbon neutral & we don't really buy into the flash of "green tags," but we do feel that helping to fund the fight to stop strip coal mining is a worthwhile effort!)

Deliver Us. Wouldn't you love to see us deliver? Well, we refuse until the universe bestows upon us a prius, gosh darn it.

Shock us. We also accept cold hard cash to help our fantasies of a covered patio area, renovated rooms for larger entertainment space, office furniture, art lighting & hanging fixtures, new eco-friendly painted rooms, vertical, hydroponic growing systems for onsite intensive gardening for herbs, and perhaps a new design on our front serving counter. Hey now, it doesn't hurt to ask! :-P
