Dandy Triples It's Menu - Yeehaw!

Dandelion's much anticipated new menu has finally manifested! We've tripled our offerings with rave reviews from our guests. The new menu is crafted to allow for variety, flexibility, and portion sizes to adjust for different seasons, appetites & budgets. Thanks to the diligent research and culinary talents of our tribe, led by veteran Dandy, Taylor Smith, & new Texan on the block, John Lyons, we are also getting deeper in our commitment to providing the freshest, homemade, wholesome meals prepared in harmony with the seasons and in partnership with local artisan producers.

Behind-the-scenes adjustments have happened in our kitchen and our recent switch from counter service to table service laid the foundation for this new era in culinary creation. This is just the first wave of offerings as we dig deeper into scratch cooking. Dandelion is on the frontier of peaceful, approachable and tantalizing organic foods and we are pioneering an approach to allergen & sugar sensitive menu planning that makes no compromises on flavor, finding that even those without sensitivities feel more energized and complete after they dine at Dandy.

More. If there's one thing you've wanted from us since day one, it's more. Let's face it, after eating giddyups for almost three years, one needs to invite diversity into their diet and by golly, it's our duty to make sure the community gets the nutrition it needs to keep up with their passion for life! We've doubled our appetizer menu, increased your side options by seven-fold, grown our kids menu by 300%, added six hot items to the menu - in effect, tripling the number of delicious things you can order with peace of mind, knowing you are getting the dandylicious vibrance and nutrition you crave while supporting a local business that makes values based decisions you believe in. And, no animals were harmed in the process - bonus!

Less = More. Some of you have been asking for less in two ways - smaller portions and budget-minded options. We've got both covered, usually at the same time.

  • Native Mama Mix: a quinoa pilaf whose ingredients change daily to take advantage of the freshest ingredients. A filling, but modest portion, this pilaf is extremely nutritious, and will surprise you daily while weighing in at an affordable five bucks.
  • Simple Side Salad: smaller portion, smaller price, and any of our homemade dressings that you like.
  • Communitea Combo: some of you even want to order more than one thing, with smaller portions at an affordable price. Geez! We're about to blow your minds - our answer even has that other thing you love, variety! With the Communitea Combo, you can pick a native mama mix or side salad and a cup of soup or chili while saving money. (Insider tip: you can also get any of the above items individually and add one of our seven sides for even more freaking variety. Green Goddess, I love us!!! No, really, if anyone needs more variety in their diet it's the Dandy Tribe, we eat breakfast, lunch & dinner here, every day.)
  • Stuff To Share: with the introduction of machos, quesadillas, and other share & share alike starters, you can split some with your honey for a snack attack without committing to an entire meal, or them - at least not until they let you have the last bite.
  • Happy Hour: held weekdays from 4-6pm and featuring $2 local organic beer & $3 florida sunshine mimosa's and all this new food to snack on!

Variety. It is the spice of life, and now, it's a way of life at Dandelion. Over the past year we have adjusted our physical layout, increased our kitchen space and, most recently, transitioned from counter service to table service for one reason only: to add a whole lotta diversity to our menu. It has always been our aim to follow the seasons and be able to have conversations about our culinary delights with you. Now that you are able to sit down with a proper menu we can discuss the new stuff and why you'll like it - from where it was sourced to how good it is for you or what exactly it is. Quinoa, tempeh, nutritional yeast!? Just where do we come up with this stuff? Click here for our quick rundown of some of our special ingredients and why we are in love with them.

  • Samplers. The Pan Platter & SXSW platter have a lil bit of this & lil bit of that
  • Soup of the Day & New Pho Bowl. All of our soups are homemade with love by our passionate culinary team & change daily - we even make our own veggie broth to ensure only the most vibrant ingredients are being used.
  • Sides. More options when ordering a wrap, salad or sandwich. In case you are one of the only people on the planet who isn't fond of our hummus, you now have six other delicious homemade items to choose from servec with Blue Corn Chips or House Baked Pita Chips. We even added fruit. You are welcome.
  • Seasonal. The Native Mama Mix, Soup of the Day and Salsa will all change on a daily basis to take advantage of local, seasonal organic produce. We are also introducing entrĂ©e specials so we can have more fun in the kitchen and keep changing it up!

Kids: Most of our staff has not had the honor of the parent-child bond, but we love those little whipper-snappers and have been feeling guilty about their Fluffernutter habit at Dandelion. So, we created a short & sweet menu with three new sandwiches which are served with any of our kid tested sides, including fruit of the day. We've noticed those little guys & gals seem to like the quesadilla, machos, the FLT and our Razzy Parfait.

Gluten Intolerant: You can thank one particular lady for our emphasis on gluten free selections - if it wasn't for Amber Melendy, owner of Shine On Yoga, ya'll would still be walking around glued together. She taught us the simple & delicious way to modify our recipes so you could eat well & we believe that reducing the amount of gluten contributes greatly to the energizing properties of our food. That's why we always keep you in mind!

  • Chili For All: We really don't know how you've been able to survive for the past couple of years without having any of our chili, but we assume it's because you have no idea what you've been missing. Well, today's your lucky day - we've liberated Henry's Hearty Chili, it's now GLUTEN FREE. Yes, you heard us right. We've upgraded the wheat filled soy crumbles to local artisan tempeh. So, have a cup, grab a giddyup, order some machos pronto!
  • I can't believe it's gluten free! Almost everything on our menu is gluten free now except our bread, pita chips and wraps - and we are closing in on gluten free versions as we speak. So, have some lucky pho, the native mama mix, any of our sides, all of our starters (except the quesadilla) and the new side salad. Please be sure to remind your server of your gluten intolerance so we can make sure you get corn chips instead of pita & double check the soup of the day for you! You'll be the first to know when we get our wheat alternative breads in, we promise.

What's Missing? Not much, actually. Sandra's Sassy Salsa will now make appearances in season and we've upgraded from our three seed Krackers to House Baked Pita Chips. All the rest of the original menu is still there for those of you who find comfort in your favorite Dandy meal!
